Art

Art is an outlet for expression, allowing us to explore interests.  Art, in many forms, will be part of our daily curriculum.

Music

Singing songs, playing instruments and listening to music while practicing skills will aid in acquisition and retention.

Movement

Movement is an important part of our day.  Whether it is through dance or a game of soccer, exercise provides opportunities for gross motor and social development.

Language

Language is the foundation of communication.  We will read and write daily using real-life scenarios to provide meaningful and relevant learning opportunities.

Mathematics

Mathematics is all around us.  Our program demonstrates practical uses for math and supports learning through hands-on applications.

Discovery

Discovery includes sciences, social studies and sensory play.  We encourage the investigation of our environment and plan lessons around areas of interest.

Kindergarten Ready

What skills will my child need to master in order to be Kindergarten-ready?

Each component of our program at Sunflower is thoughtfully arranged and adapted to meet your child's individual needs at any given time.  The language, literacy, math, social-emotional and motor skills necessary for Kindergarten readiness are implemented in multiple content areas and are continually assessed and adapted as your child moves through them.  Look here for a Kindergarten Readiness Checklist.
