What safety measures are in place to protect my family from COVID-19?At Sunflower Pre-kindergarten we are concerned about the safety of the children in our care. We have proactively drafted a safety plan to reduce your child's risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus, in accordance with the New York State Health Department. You may view our NY Forward Saftey Plan here. In addition, our philosophy and educational curriculum lend themselves to outdoor exploration and play. Much of your child's day will be planned around outdoor activities, as long as weather permits. On days when inclement weather prevents outdoor activities windows will be opened and/or our Levoit Air Purifier will help to mitigate the spread of germs.
How are tuition and fees paid?Tuition is due and payable in full on the first of each month. We accept payment via the Brightwheel app for your convenience. We also accept cash or check.
What is the tuition cost?
What if my child has an allergy?I am CPR and First Aide certified, and I have experience caring for children with allergies. I take pride in maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary space for your child. If you have any question, please contact me.
When is Sunflower Pre-kindergarten open?Sunflower Pre-kindergarten will follow the Longwood Central School District calendar, found here, operating all days that Longwood schools are in session. For a copy of our calendar, including special dates and events, contact us today!
What skills will my child need to master in order to be Kindergarten-ready?The language, literacy, math, social-emotional and motor skills necessary for Kindergarten readiness are implemented in multiple content areas and are continually assessed and adapted as your child moves through them. Look here for a Kindergarten Readiness Checklist.
